Sterling silver, cotton and wool thread, coin, amulets fabricated from sterling silver, copper, rawhide, bone, and other repurposed materials; central amulet is by Mexican silversmith, Sigi Pineda.

The inspiration for this neckpiece came after studying several traditional Shaman’s necklaces collected decades ago by a friend during a visit to Nepal. I fabricated amulets and combined them with certain traditional beads into a woven necklace that can be best described as my attempt to provide a protective measure against the supernatural dangers of contemporary society.
