Open to artist members of NWDC whose art meets the requirement of having an obvious and significant component of glass and who have up-to-date paid membership by entry deadline September 30, 2023.

Specific Information

  • Open to artist members of NWDC whose art meets the requirement of having an obvious and significant component of glass and who have up-to-date paid membership by entry deadline September 30, 2023.

  • Media: Must include an obvious and significant component of glass. Pieces delivered need to fit through a standard 36" by 6' doorway and weigh no more than 50 lbs. Larger pieces 50-100 lbs must be installed by the artist during the set up day on Oct, 11 between 12-5PM. Shipped pieces can be no larger than 24 x 24 x 24" and weigh no more than 25 lbs.

  • For Sale only

  • Entry fee contributed by NWDC as a benefit of membership.’

  • Commission 0 Percent Steve Jensen Studios, 40 Percent NWDC, and 60 Percent to the artist.

  • All artwork meeting the criteria will be accepted.

  • Artist can submit two (2) artwork(s).

  • Artwork not previously shown on NWDC Online and made in 2018 or later is permitted

  • NWDC will facilitate the sale.

  • Work must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. With entry of artwork, artist agrees to not withdraw the entry or sell the piece outside the exhibition prior to the closing date.

  • Artist must make arrangement with the purchaser for the delivery of the art, including handling the shipping cost. Artwork must be removed from Steve Jensen studio by 7pm on October 15, 2023.

  • Artist is responsible for any damage to their artwork from shipping or delivery to the gallery, at the gallery, through shipping from or pick up from the gallery.

  • Artist name, artwork title, date, dimensions, materials, retail price and photo credit submitted on entry form.

  • Artists must complete a Loan Agreement and include same with the art by October 10, 2023; more information will be provided with the form.

  • Artist agrees to promote the exhibition via email, social media, websites, and so forth.

  • Artist agrees to sale of piece through the entire time of the exhibition.

  • Artist agrees to make necessary arrangements with gallery representation if needed; any funds expected by galleries must come from the artist’s 60 percent share.

  • Artist agrees to delivery of artwork to the Steve Jensen Studios on October 11, 2023 between 12pm - 5pm, and pick up unsold work on October 15, 2023, by 7pm.

  • Artist agrees to ship art to be received by shipment delivery date and include a postage paid return label. Pieces shipped should be no larger than 24 x 24 x 24" and weigh no more than 25 lbs.

  • Gallery Open times: Thurs, Oct 12: 5 - 9pm; Fri, Oct 13: 3 - 6pm; Sat, Oct 14: 12 - 4pm; Sun, Oct 15: 12 - 4pm.

Image Specifications

Up to two images per artwork, full and detailed/alternate.

Before you apply, please prepare your upload ready JPG files of professional quality images to the following specifications:

  • File format: JPEG or JPG only.

  • Photos with 72 DPI and a width of at least 2,000 pixels on the shortest side displays optimally on the online web show, which is a 4:5 aspect ratio. Photos outside this range may be cropped to fit. See instructions for adjusting photo images in Window and Mac Photos at Members Only tab on NWDC website.

  • File Size: 5 MB or less.

  • Label each image file with your last name, first name, title of artwork, and a _1 for the full image and _2 for detailed or alternate at the end of the file name. Examples: Smith_Joe_Ice Star_1.jpg for the full image and Smith_Joe_Ice Star_2.jpg for the detailed image.

Publicity

The artist grants permission to use the image of artwork, as well as artist provided information about their artwork, for publication and promotional purposes by NWDC and Steve Jensen Studios.

  • The images and statements may be used for publicizing NWDC Glass in exhibition announcements, press materials, interpretive displays, advertising, website and social media posts, and other promotional activities.

  • NWDC and Steve Jensen Studios shall have the right to publish any images and information furnished by the artist with no payment to the artist or to the photographer who produced the image. Artist must secure publication permission from the photographer, if copyrighted, and provide the same to NWDC and Steve Jensen Studios.
