NWDC and Gallery Mack invite you to participate in an exhibition in downtown Seattle’s Pike Market District on the theme of “Vessels”. Artist members working in ceramics and wood are especially encouraged to participate but any NWDC member creating vessels or work representing the concept of a vessel may apply. Tim Detweiler and Michelle Bufano, two of the owners of Gallery Mack, will select the art for the show. Selection of participating artists is completely within their discretion.
The NWDC exhibition will be largely contained in a large, well lit, semi-private room at the rear of the gallery although the gallerist may place works throughout the gallery as space permits.

Each member who enters will have one artwork in the show. All pieces are for sale.
Eligibility Requirements
Open to artist members of NWDC who have up-to-date paid membership by entry deadline: October 23, 2023
All work must be for sale. Gallery Mack will facilitate the sale
Commission 50% to artist, 50% to Gallery Mack, 10% to NWDC (10% added to retail price)
Work must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. With entry of artwork, artist agrees to not withdraw the entry or sell the piece outside the exhibition prior to the closing date
Artist, when he/she has arranged shipping or delivery to and pick up from the gallery, is responsible for any damage to their artwork
Media: clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and mixed media. Artwork not previously shown at Gallery Mack and made in last 5 years is permitted.
Artist can submit two (2) artworks. One (1) will be selected.
Artist name, artwork title, date, dimensions, materials, retail price and photo credit submitted on entry form.
Entry fee contributed by NWDC as a benefit of membership
Artists must complete a consignment agreement, consignment agreement with the gallery by November 12, 2023, more information will be provided with the form.
Artist agrees to promote the exhibition via email, social media, websites, and so forth
Artist agrees to sale of piece through the entire time of the exhibition
Artist agrees to make necessary arrangements with gallery representation if needed; any funds expected by galleries must come from the artist’s 50% share.
Artist agrees to delivery of artwork to the Gallery Mack by Monday Nov 13th - Wed Nov 15th and pick up unsold work by January 20, 2024.
Image Specifications
Up to two images per artwork, one full, one detailed or alternate.
Before you apply, please prepare your upload ready JPG files of professional quality images to the following specifications:
File format: JPEG or JPG only
Images of Art Pieces should have a 4:3 aspect ratio and are at least 2,000 pixels on the shortest side. Anything lower than 2,000 could result in blurry images.
File Size: 5 MB or less
Label each image file with your last name, first name, title of artwork, and a _1 for the full image and _2 for detailed or alternate at the end of the file name. Examples: Smith_Joe_Ice Star_1.jpg for the full image and Smith_Joe_Ice Star_2.jpg for the detailed image
Photo Imagery and Publicity
The artist grants permission to use the image of artwork, as well as artist provided information about their artwork, for publication and promotional purposes by NWDC and Gallery Mack.
The images and statements may be used for publicizing “Vessels Speak Volumes” in exhibition announcements, press materials, interpretive displays, advertising, website and social media posts, and other promotional activities.
NWDC and Gallery Mack shall have the right to publish any images and information furnished by the artist with no payment to the artist or to the photographer who produced the image. Artist must secure publication permission from the photographer, if copyrighted, and provide the same to NWDC and Gallery Mack.
