A FUNDRAISER AND ONE STEP CLOSER TO OUR GOAL
The afternoon of January 13, 2019 at Mike Peck’s POTS Gallery in Fremont
That day brought together donated artworks from 82 Northwest artists with a group of interested artists and patrons for a fundraiser to benefit the NWDC’s Living Treasures Project. It was a raffle, and the anticipation was high, as each artwork was priced at an affordable $200…and everyone hoped their ticket would be drawn early.
The first ticket drawn? NWDC’s own Chris Wooten owned it, and she chose the piece by Tip Toland, the artist featured in the Living Treasures current project.

Volunteers made this event happen, including our roving raffle-ticket man, Don Myhre, seen here with Jean Marie Thomas, who would eventually draw those winning tickets throughout the afternoon.
This was also a time to relax for Larry Metcalf. He and Lynn Di Nino organized the show, and are the two people who really made it happen. Larry also curated the presentation of the show.
If your ticket was selected, and you chose an artwork, Julia Lowther and Natascha Bybee were there to help you pay for it.
That afternoon brought the Living Treasures Project about $15,000, a tribute to the generosity of the artists and patrons….and now, 66 artworks will be enjoyed by the lucky attendees. A special thanks goes out to the artists who donated artwork, and to Mike Peck for offering the gallery space that would present the Glove Show.
