Northwest Designer Craftartists (NWDC) is thrilled to return to the Seattle Art Fair as a Cultural Partner, presenting a curated exhibition of contemporary fine craft at Booth #CP14 from July 17–20, 2025, at the Lumen Field Event Center.
This year’s presentation features the work of eight outstanding NWDC artists, each pushing the boundaries of material and form in contemporary craft. Flóra Carlile-Kovács, a fiber artist, reimagines traditional textile techniques into bold, dynamic forms. Carol Gouthro offers vividly detailed ceramic works inspired by organic growth and natural systems. Katrina Hude presents elegant, atmospheric glass sculpture. Ron Pascho brings a playful approach to contemporary jewelry, combining metalwork with unexpected materials. Seiko Purdue creates fiber installations that explore repetition and materiality. Seth Roland creates sculptural woodwork that balances organic rhythm with architectural precision. Polly Adams Sutton contributes woven baskets made from local natural materials, merging traditional techniques with sculptural form. Cynthia Toops is known for her intricate polymer micromosaic jewelry, rich in color and narrative.
Founded in 2015 by the late Paul G. Allen and produced by AMP, the Seattle Art Fair is a landmark event for modern and contemporary art in the region. It brings together local, national, and international galleries, museums, and institutions alongside collectors and the broader public for a weekend of exhibitions, dialogue, and discovery.
NWDC’s presence at the fair celebrates the organization’s ongoing commitment to elevating fine craft as a vital and evolving form of contemporary artistic expression. Visitors to Booth #CP14 can expect a visually rich, thought-provoking collection that honors the handmade while looking toward the future.
